Hello blogging world! Nice to meet you. I'm Allison. I've been following (ahem, stalking) many lovely, lovely blogs for quite some time, so I finally decided to start one of my own...with a little push from big sister (who has one heck of a blog herself!). Hello, seester!

As my interests and tastes are kinda all over the place, this blog probably will be too...disclaimer! So, let's get to know each other. Here are a few of my favorite things:

My sweet Jesus. Every day I am amazed by his mercy, grace, and love that he gives so freely and that I am so very undeserving of. He is so good. Do you know him? The God of the universe LOVES you and wants a relationship with you! A real, intimate relationship.

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart."
-Jeremiah 29:11

My totally awesome hubby, David. I seriously could not ask for a better man to spend the rest of my life with. From the start, I just knew it was him. He proposed to me on our 4-month anniversary! I would have said yes after 2 weeks...hehe. He is the kindest, funniest, handsomest, most generous person I know. He is a youth minister here in Birmingham, and is absolutely doing what he is called to do. (Just call me preacher's wife.) I love serving with him and doing life with him. More than blessed.

Family. We've got the best. No competition. Big Sister (Jen) and Little Sister (Beth Anne) are the best sisters a girl could ask for. My mom and dad are so loving and supportive. I seriously could go on and on about my family all day long, but then I would probably go from 0 readers to -27. Moving on!

Taking the name of Jesus to the nations. "The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor, he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound...that they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he may be glorified." -Isaiah 61:1-3

"Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world." - James 1:27

Traveling and the great outdoors! So grateful our parents raised us with a love and appreciation of the outdoors and experiencing new people and places.

Neat trees. My favorite things ever. Oh, and moss. They tie.

Lomography! My camera passed away. *tear* Must. Find. Another.

Etc... music, sewing (or trying to!), updating our house, thrifting and antiquing, playing dress up, etc. etc.

Phew. This is the longest blog I have ever done! Hehe. Thanks for sticking with me, Big Sister!
